Unclaimed Funds or financial benefits are money and other assets whose rightful owner(s) cannot be located by the paying agency or institutions and where the owners or their proxy cannot locate the paying agency or institutions. Sometimes, it occurs where the beneficiary is located and aware but reluctant to activate collection. In strict sense, the first situation is called lost funds while the second situation is called unclaimed funds but for purpose of this discourse, all are grouped as unclaimed fund/benefits. Examples include estate proceeds, inactive stocks, uncashed payroll checks, e.t.c.
There are many reasons why funds go unclaimed and they may include bank failures, a taxpayer's change of address and many more. However, any unclaimed funds are handed over to the government once the dormancy period elapses.
Currently, in the United States, the federal government has no available way of checking for unclaimed funds or assets which is why agencies like ours are set up where yours exist and you can get them back.
Please reach us at reclaimyours@avancerllc.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We make sure we work on it as quickly as possible but it depends. If the foreclosure money available is a lot, it typically takes between 60 to 120 days.
Every document you sign will pertain only to your particular claim. It doesn't give us any power relating to anything else in your life. We have no access to any of your personal financial information. Neither do we have any power to make decisions on your behalf relating to anything except the claim. All document signings will be done in the presence of a licensed notary public local to your area. You have nothing to worry about.
We do not require upfront payments and so you lose nothing if in the end the paper work is filed and we get nothing back from the government. Worst case scenario, you find out the government doesn't owe you any money.
As long as these funds or assets are truly yes, then yes. It is legal. You are just reclaiming what was originally yours.
We do not work on our own. We are connected to databases that take care of unclaimed funds and we audit them.
